pin360 + Autodesk: Add 360° Site Photos to Your Project Drawings

Autodesk manages your models and drawings. pin360 connects those drawings to the physical site — pinning 360° photos to the exact locations your team is tracking in Revit, ACC, or BIM 360.

Autodesk's construction cloud (ACC and BIM 360) is the system of record for most large UK and international construction and engineering projects. Revit manages the model; ACC manages the documents, RFIs, issues, and submissions. What neither tool handles natively is spatial photo documentation — the ability to stand at a structural node, photograph it in 360°, and anchor that photograph to the coordinate on the drawing your Revit model is built from.

pin360 sits alongside your Autodesk workflow without replacing it. Export a sheet from Revit or download a PDF from ACC, upload it to pin360, and start pinning 360° photos to the locations you photograph on site. The result is a spatially-indexed photo record that complements your Revit model: your model describes what was designed, pin360 records what was built and what condition it is in.

For structural engineers and building surveyors working on ACC-managed projects, this closes the documentation loop. Your client sees the same drawing set they know from the project — and every 360° photo is pinned to it.

How It Works

1

Export your drawing sheet from Revit or ACC

From Autodesk Revit, export any sheet as a PDF using the standard Print/Export workflow. From ACC, download the current revision of the sheet directly from the Document Management module.

2

Upload to pin360 and create a project

Create a project in pin360, upload the exported PDF, and assign it as a View. The PDF becomes your interactive floor plan — your drawings, not a system-generated approximation.

3

Photograph each location on site

Walk the site with any 360° camera (Insta360 One RS, Ricoh Theta, GoPro Max). No proprietary hardware. Photograph each structural element, defect location, or progress point.

4

Pin photos to the drawing

Back at your desk, drop a pin on the drawing at each photographed location and attach the 360° image. Add severity ratings for defects, and notes for context.

5

Share the link with your ACC project team

Share the pin360 link alongside your ACC document. Your client, contractor, or colleague clicks any pin on the familiar drawing and sees the full 360° view from that exact spot.

Try it with your Autodesk drawings. Upload a PDF free — no hardware, no commitment.

As-built condition records alongside Revit models
Pre-handover snagging on BIM 360 projects
Defect tracking during construction phase
Post-occupancy condition surveys with Revit drawing reference

Frequently Asked Questions

pin360 works alongside Autodesk tools rather than through a direct API integration. You export a PDF from Revit or download it from ACC, upload it to pin360, and share the resulting link with your project team. The workflow takes seconds — no connector software, no sync configuration.
