Field-led product

Founder Kyle Greig works in UK structural engineering and BIM, so the workflow starts from drawings, site photos, client questions, and handover evidence.

Test with your own drawing

Create a free project, upload a real PDF drawing, and test 20 pins without a credit card or a sales call.

Real share workflow

The demo opens the same read-only project link a client would receive, with the floor plan, pins, photos, and 360 views in one place.

Practical data handling

Photos, PDFs, and scans are stored in Cloudflare R2, with access controlled through pin360 projects and share permissions.

The context problem

Lost site evidence creates expensive doubt.

Folders, Dropbox links, and camera rolls store files. They do not explain where evidence was captured or why it matters. pin360 keeps every photo, 360° view, and finding pinned to the site map or floor plan it belongs to—creating a permanent, shareable digital archive.

LOC-01

Find the exact photo in seconds

Stop asking which wall, beam, room, or riser a photo belonged to. Each image stays attached to the plan marker it came from.

CHK-02

Avoid avoidable return visits

Check the 360 view, close-up photo, and finding note before sending someone back to site for context that was already captured.

REV-03

Keep evidence tied to location

Questions, replies, severity, and supporting media stay beside the marker instead of drifting into email, WhatsApp, or PDF markups.

SHR-04

Give clients a record they understand

Share one link with the drawing, pins, photos, findings, and review context so stakeholders can follow the evidence without rebuilding the visit.

Before and after

From file dump to site record.

pin360 does not try to replace your drawings, camera, or project tools. It adds the missing evidence layer between them.

Before

Scattered evidence

  • Photos in folders, WhatsApp, camera rolls, and email threads
  • PDF markups that point to evidence stored somewhere else
  • Clients asking which room, wall, beam, or defect a photo shows
  • Return visits caused by missing context, not missing effort

After

Location-tied record

  • One drawing-based record for photos, 360s, scans, notes, and defects
  • Clickable pins that open the exact evidence captured at that location
  • Comments and decisions kept beside the finding they belong to
  • A read-only link stakeholders can follow without reconstructing the visit

See it in action

Click from plan to evidence in seconds.

The demo shows the simple loop: PDF floor plan, location pin, attached site media, review context, and one shareable project record.

  • 1

    Start from the drawing

Open the PDF plan your team already uses and choose the place where evidence was captured.

  • 2

    Open the attached evidence

Jump from the pin to the 360 view, normal photo, note, comment, or finding tied to that location.

  • 3

    Share the record

Send a read-only link so a client, contractor, or colleague can follow the evidence without searching folders.

Try the demo project

Plan → Pin → Review → Resolve → Share

A site record people can follow.

Turn PDF drawings and field photos into a location-aware evidence chain without changing how your team captures site information.

1

Upload the drawing

Start with the PDF floor plan, site map, or building layout your team already uses. No new drawing format required.

2

Pin the evidence

Drop normal photos, 360° panoramas, scan views, notes, and findings at the exact place they belong.

3

Answer in context

Clients, consultants, and facilities teams discuss the marker itself instead of chasing context through email threads.

4

Close the loop

Reply with supporting evidence, mark the discussion resolved, and keep the decision trail beside the finding.

5

Share the record

Send a read-only link stakeholders can follow without reconstructing the site visit from loose files.

Plan context

Find the exact photo in seconds

Use the drawings you already issue. Every photo or finding sits on the sheet and plan position it belongs to.

360 context

Step back into the space

Drop the blue 360° sphere where the camera stood, then let reviewers open the room view from the drawing.

Normal photos

Keep close-ups with the wider view

Add normal phone photos, detail shots, and close-ups beside panoramas instead of splitting them across folders.

Findings

Make defects impossible to miss

Log critical, high, medium, and low observations directly on the plan so the risk stays tied to its evidence.

Review loop

Stop losing decisions in email

Clients and engineers can ask questions on a marker, reply with evidence, then resolve the thread with the audit trail intact.

Handover

Send a client-ready record

Share a clean project link with your organisation name, colours, and logo instead of a loose folder of drawings and photos.

Revisit risk

Put a price on missing evidence

Estimate the impact of one missing key photo: day rates, travel, delay, and rework in one simple page.

Checklist

Prepare better site visits

Use the survey checklist before visiting site so the next record captures the evidence the review will need.

Who it is for

Built around real site-documentation jobs.

Different teams capture different evidence. The common problem is the same: months later, everyone needs to know where it was taken and why it mattered.

Facilities teams

A visual asset register you can walk: plant rooms, roof areas and risers tied to plans, with O&M documents, PPM notes and service history on every asset.

New contracts mobilised and operators handed over without a site visit for every question.

Building surveyors

Capture condition evidence, defects, access constraints, and close-ups in one visual record.

A client handover that is easier to inspect than a folder of images.

Structural engineers

Tie crack photos, connection details, 360 context, and site notes back to the exact drawing location.

Faster technical review and fewer ambiguous follow-up questions.

Contractors

Document pre-works conditions, snagging evidence, progress context, and subcontractor comments.

Clearer proof of what was seen, fixed, agreed, or handed over.

Archivists & Conservationists

Preserve exact condition records of heritage sites tied directly to historical floor plans.

A permanent digital evidence archive that survives beyond physical access.

Brand Experiences & Tourism

Embed rich 3D splats and 360° views directly into public-facing promotional websites.

Deliver immersive, interactive site experiences to visitors anywhere in the world.

Where pin360 fits against the tools you already know

Matterport and OpenSpace are powerful capture platforms. Bluebeam is excellent for drawing markup. Dropbox and SharePoint store files. pin360 is the lightweight layer for site evidence that needs to stay tied to a location.

Why I built this

I was the engineer with 2,000 unorganised site photos

I'm Kyle — a structural engineering technician manager in the UK. Every week I'd come back from site inspections with hundreds of photos buried in folders labelled things like “Site Visit 14 — Feb.”

Matching photos to locations meant cross-referencing drawings, scribbled notes, and hoping someone remembered which beam was which. Half the time we'd end up going back to site because a photo was missing context.

Matterport, OpenSpace, and the big capture platforms have their place, but they can be too heavy for everyday surveys, condition records, and handover evidence that simply needs to stay tied to a drawing.

So I built pin360: upload the PDF floor plan you already have, pin photos, 360°s, scans, notes, and findings, then share one link. That's it. No new drawing standard. No folder archaeology. Five minutes from site photos to a record someone else can follow.

New · 3D scans

Walk the site without leaving your desk

Upload a 3D scan from a LiDAR scanner (Lixel, XGrids) or any gaussian splat — then pin findings in 3D, take real-metre measurements, flip to the raw point cloud, and share it all with one link, or embed it directly into your own website for public access. Same markers, same reports as your floor plans.

Real Lixel K2 scan — two-click measurements in real metres, no calibration. Try it live in the demo at the top of the page.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before getting started.

No. pin360 works with normal phone photos too — just pin them to your floor plan like any other image. 360° cameras (Insta360, Ricoh Theta, GoPro Max) give you the full-room view, but a phone photo of a crack or a defect works just as well. Most teams use both.

Bluebeam is excellent for drawing review and markups. pin360 is for the live evidence behind the markup: click a plan pin and open the site photo, 360° panorama, note, finding, or discussion tied to that location.

pin360 isn't a replacement for point cloud scanning — it's for the 90% of site visits that don't justify specialist hardware. Most firms use both: Matterport for landmark projects, pin360 for everyday condition surveys and inspections.

Folders store files, but they do not explain where each photo was taken or why it matters. pin360 keeps the drawing, pins, photos, 360s, findings, comments, and share link together as one project record.

If they can use Google Maps, they can use pin360. Upload a drawing, drop a pin, attach a photo. Most teams are documenting their first project within 5 minutes.

No — and it doesn't try to. Your CAFM (Planon, Maximo, Concept, FSI) stays the system of record for work orders and PPM schedules. pin360 is the visual layer beside it: a walkable record of the building with every asset clickable. Paste a pin360 asset link into a work order and the engineer sees exactly what and where the asset is before travelling — viewers never need a licence or login.

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Files are stored on Cloudflare R2 with access controlled per project; share links are read-only, optionally password-protected, and can be revoked at any time. You can export your data whenever you want, and we never sell or share it. Enterprise contracts can add SSO/SAML and audit requirements.

Any 360° camera that produces equirectangular images — Insta360, Ricoh Theta, GoPro Max, or even phone panoramas. No specialist hardware required.

Yes. The free plan gives you 3 projects, 1 floor plan each, and 20 markers — no credit card needed, no time limit. Use it on a real project and upgrade when you're ready.
